If you're pregnant and you weren't expecting to be, you know there are a lot of questions. You've probably been trying to figure out what to do, how and if you should tell anyone, and where to go for help.

One of the worst things you can do right now is to rush into a decision. We encourage you to take time to process through all of your options. You must choose the best option for you and your baby.  Legally no one else can force their decision on you.

We offer an excellent "Looking at Adoption" workbook program to help you explore adoption as an option.

We're not here to pressure you into an adoption decision. Our program is simply designed to help you in the fact-finding process. You can work with someone to discuss the realities involved in both adoption and parenting. We do not facilitate adoption, but we can provide a list of adoption agencies that can. If you do decide to make an adoption plan for your baby, we also provide support and assistance through our workbook program for the post-adoption process.

Adoption Facts You Should Know:

  • Researching adoption as an option does not commit you to choosing adoption. The final decision about adoption is not made until after your baby is born.
  • Adoption has changed a lot in the past 20 years. You can decide if you'd like a closed, open, or semi-open adoption plans.
  • Adoption is a parenting decision that focuses on the needs of your child.
  • Adoption is a decision that's often made by women who first thought abortion was their only way out.
  • Adoption is a legal transaction. Rules are different from state to state. That's why we recommend you use an adoption specialist. They're uniquely equipped to help you navigate the process successfully.
  • Making an adoption plan involves very strong emotions. An adoption specialist will be able to provide good counsel and ongoing support both during and after your pregnancy.

Parenting is very challenging. If you are pregnant and planning to parent, we can help. We provide caring support, parenting classes, and other practical resources to help you.

Our Healthy Pregnancy Class (4 weeks) teaches you how your baby is developing and how to take good care of yourself during your pregnancy. We give you basics on prenatal care, things to avoid, keeping fit, and healthy eating.

Our Baby Basics Class (4 weeks) helps you to prepare for the baby. You'll learn about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, diapering, bonding, bath time, and play time. We also share about the emotional demands of parenting and give you tips on how to cope with stress.

Our Smart Start Parenting Class (8 weeks) is for parents with babies and toddlers under age 2. We cover childhood health, safety, and nutrition. We help you learn how to affirm and connect with your child. We show you how to be a patient and authentic parent. We also cover basic budgeting for a new life and baby.

Our 24/7 Dad Class (12 weeks, 3 sessions of 4 classes each) is just for men. Taught by dads for dads, come get the tools you need to be a good father 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You'll explore everything from men's health and discipline to co-parenting and expectations of your child's development. This is a great opportunity to connect with other men and to be mentored by fathers who have been in your shoes.
